Since the Celtics start pre season in a few days, I thought it would be a good idea for the teams bold predictions!
1. Amir Johnson top 5 NBA in rebounds.
The new acquisition will only prove the team that they made the right choice, will him controlling the rebounds it gives the rest of team more focus on the game. Stats: 6.5 PPG 13.4 RPG
2. Kelly Olynyk averages a double double
The man with the sweet flow is going to be taking another huge step, last season Olynyk was very underrated and always seemed to put up numbers. Stats: 17.5 PPG 11 RPG
3. Celtics clinch 3rd seed
It’s no doubt the Celtics were an exciting team to watch, and they lack that one game changer, but the Celtics will show that true teamwork and passion is what gets the job done
4. Celtics make it to the NBA Finals
I don’t want to make any statements saying a team is a lock for a win, but the Celtics in my opinion will get to the promise land and hopefully compete against the best of the best.
5. Marcus Smart wins DPOY and 6-Man of the year
Smart is looking good thus far and will take a huge leap in year two. With multiple talented guards on this roster and with an already competitive guard in Marcus Smart, there’s no doubt he will compete in his second season. Being comfortable is dangerous for the young guard, he’s now accustomed to the NBA and can experiment and win these awards.
